Landmark, green, circulation

BAF (Bio-Architecture Formosana) injects three key design ideology “landmarks, greens, and recycling”, making the waste incineration plants that were originally “neighboring facilities” become the bioenergy center of the near-by-side facilities. Through organic shapes and farmer’s environment, the public will have more awareness of ecological environment education for the environment through the project, and will also convert passive energy consumption into active production capacity.

Born from the ocean waves

The mass of the building is inspired from the natural landscapes such as local ocean waves and ponds and the imagery of the energy flow beneath the water, to resonate with the local environment and to remove the central body of industrialization. The use of wavy roof reduces the area of the roof dome which diminish the amount of outdoor building materials, the costs, and also the excessive area around the building.
