A rental house with the image of the countryside

The project strengthens the characteristics of a green belt of the site. It is designed with a gradual retreat of public terraces, and the greenery is brought up layer by layer. The different configurations of the house are arranged according to the scale, demand and optimization of the building ring. S scale- shared space released by each floor, small social space, and at the same time introduce comfortable ventilation and lighting for the corridor. M scale- public space and terrace are merged design, public space is centrally arranged and connected to large terraces, introducing green landscape and breeze to public space. L scale- roof terrace, is a demonstration farm, edible landscape is a courtyard for the practice of circular economy. XL scale- ground floor plaza is an urban market area for the communication between community residents and urban citizens.

Use building configuration and openings to reduce energy consumption

The main rooms of the building face north south, and there are no high-rise buildings around to block the sunlight. Due to the large amount of sunlight on the south side, the design uses lattice bricks/metal mesh to reduce the heat radiation of the facade. The base has a higher tendency of winds in summer, and winds in winter. The terrace is located in the south, and the southerly winds adjust the microclimate in summer.

Circular community

Based on the site, through regeneration (green energy, edible landscape, water recycling), recycling (deciduous compost, recycling), exchange (replaceable/disassembled materials), sharing (shared space), virtualization (smart building system) And so on to realize the circular economy community. Entering the unit scale, through reservation of facilities (such as exposed pipe system and reserved equipment space, lamp holder), leasing (modular furniture, bathroom) and balcony shading design, energy-saving and sustainable circular residential units is practiced.

Sustainable communities that are easy to maintain and manage

The design adopts the configuration that is easy to maintain and circulate. The moving line part adopts the design of simplification of circulation, centralized public space, and natural ventilation of the garbage disposal room; the facade adopts a flat design, and the electric and external pipelines and outdoor air conditioners are covered by sunshade grilles; ladders The hall adopts natural ventilation and lighting, and the corridor adopts detachable building materials and exposed pipe design; the toilet and bathroom are planned on the balcony side and the floor is naturally ventilated and exhausted; the green part of the landscape uses a potted design to avoid water leakage concerns
