From just treatment to a comprehensive health ecosystem belonging to everyone

Designing a future hospital for the elderly is more than just building a building. The role of the New Era Hospital in the city should be to build a multi-functional center for healthcare and education, provide positive thinking about diseases through education, and develop diversified creative treatments. Ways and creations are not only exclusive to the elderly, but also a community space that welcomes the urban public.

Healing Hospital

To strengthen the base’s original feature of being surrounded by greenery, we use layers of green platforms to bring the greenery upward; and install solar panels on the roof to transform the endless solar energy source in southern Taiwan, making the hospital not only embrace green, but also Energy-saving “Double Green Hospital”. With the retreat terrace and the ward balcony we designed, each patient can get the best view of the surroundings. With a good vision, we hope to improve the patient’s mental health and the speed of recovery.

Evergreen Lane, Yinguang Lane, Wangyou Pavilion

Changqingli: The hospital is the center of treatment. We connect Xiaodong Park across Linsen Road, and the newly planned Five-Sense Garden on Jingye Campus to create a treatment town for the elderly. Yinguang Lane: We use friendly walkable corridors to connect in series, and form large and small social spaces. We hope to provide patients and their families with a comfortable space and improve the quality of treatment. It also separates the walkways used by visitors and medical staff, and designs a landscape lounge exclusively for them, giving them free space for work and rest. Wangyou Pavilion: Ward, different from ordinary hospitals, we try to bring the natural landscape into each bed, and give each bed a separate window to see the greenery. At the same time, we also pay attention to the privacy of each bed and the temporary stay of family members. The space is hoped to give patients the greatest rehabilitation assistance.
