A building integrating Baseball Hall of Fame, Hotel and Ecological Garden

This case is located in Longtan, Taoyuan, surrounded by natural surroundings, facing Shimen Reservoir in the east, overlooking the coastal mountains, and watching the practice baseball field of Brother Elephants in the west. It is a hotel that combines sports, performance and leisure. The building is divided into three main parts. Baseball is Taiwan’s national ball. In addition to displaying the development history and players of Taiwan’s baseball, the Baseball Hall of Fame also sets up baseball-related education facilities. Through dynamic interaction, visitors can relax and relax. You can also learn more about baseball through experience.

Stepped mass configuration, allowing visitors to contact nature

Based on the humility and attitude to the base culvert, the surrounding environment texture, the hotel area is only 7 storeys high, and a stepped configuration is created to create a large amount of terrace space, creating the greatest opportunity for guests to contact the outdoors. The exterior of the baseball sphere building indicates the theme content of the exhibition in the venue. The sphere and the spiral ramp are also used to produce a gradual viewing experience and the opportunity to view the surrounding scenery in 360 degrees.

Ecological landscape and balcony roof greening

The owner, Chairman Hong, likes flowers and trees very much, and hopes to create an ecological park with a sea of flowers as the theme, so that tourists from the city can truly experience nature and immerse themselves in the sea of flowers.

In the choice of tree species, we use native Taiwanese plants and reserve a large number of old trees around the land to reduce maintenance. The surface road paving adopts the JW permeable construction method, which not only maintains the function of high hardness and pressure resistance, but also ensures that the surface rainwater can effectively penetrate and return to the earth.

On the balcony of the hotel area, planting troughs are installed on the outside and corridors. Vertical greening methods such as grid frames are used to increase greenery and effectively block solar radiation heat. Outdoor terraces are covered with thin layers of greenery and insulated bricks to reduce radiation absorption.
