Tamsui is the first port to encounter the great Western sailing era in northern Taiwan, rich in cultural heritage. The intent for the Huwei Arts and Cultural Leisure Park was to seamlessly integrate the unique natural landscape, historical monuments, local arts and festivals, while establishing Tamsui’s own cultural scenery. Additionally aiming to transform Tamsui into a creative cultural platform, encouraging various types of arts to flourish. In prospect, this development would also collaborate with other types of activities, and inspire further growth in neighboring regions, and was therefore designed to work as a social activator.
