2023-12-04

Industry Trends Forum
Design Thinking has gradually become an obvious discipline, and whenever we talk about innovation, we will mention “Design Thinking”, which has undoubtedly become an important guideline for the development of industries and cities nowadays. By introducing “Design Thinking”, industries can be driven by innovation and transformation, which in turn will lead to the progress and development of contemporary cities, and bring a better and livable future to the citizens.
Taking the sports and medical fields in the city, which are closely related to citizens’ lives, as an example, the forum will focus on two major industry themes, namely, “Sports Architecture Design and Smart Living” and “Healthcare Environment and Service Design”, and invite experts from relevant fields to share their views on how to make good use of innovative design thinking to promote the sensory upgrading of the fields, so as to provide a mirror for the sustainable development of the city and industries in the future, and shape a better future living imagination for the citizens of the city.
Designing a "Dynamic" City: Sports Architecture and Smart Living
Large-scale sports buildings and landscapes have long been important facilities and spiritual landmarks in many cities. In addition to the function of bidding for major domestic and international competitions, they also serve as the city’s brand image, and with the continued rise of health awareness in recent years, in addition to competitive sports, the general public’s demand for sports and fitness has also continued to increase. Accordingly, we must consider that how should sports venues be designed to integrate into daily life, meet the needs of users, and integrate with technology to keep pace with the times and realize the long-term development of the venues’ operation?
To address this question, we have invited two top domestic architectural firms, ” Bio architecture Formosana ” and ” Ricky Liu & Associates Architects+Planners,” to engage in a dialogue with Mr. Daisuke Sasaki, the Chief Editor of Japan’s Nikkei Architecture. Starting from the perspective of sports venues, they will explore how to cleverly integrate architecture, landscaping, and the application of new technologies to propose innovative design concepts. These concepts aim to enable sports architecture with flexibility and adaptability, aligning with the needs of everyday life, and contributing to the forward-looking and sustainable development of future cities. Through this forum, we hope to inspire and lead the future development of sports venues, making them an important part of urban life.
