Event | The Architect's Urban Friend: Children's Spatial Creation Workshop

BaF collaborates with the “Learn by Space” Educational Building Association to design and present the “Architect’s Urban Friend” series, inviting children to explore the unique stories and design ingenuity behind notable architectural projects.

Featuring exclusive materials provided by BaF, children will learn about iconic local design cases such as Nanmen Market, Beitou Library, and Hsinchu Zoo from the perspective of an architectural designer. They’ll discover how design can create harmonious living spaces that integrate with the environment. The workshops will be held in the firm’s newly renovated 7th-floor space, where parents and children are invited to co-create and experience the magic of architecture!

▅▇ November 24 (Sun) | The Warm City Kitchen ▇▅

(Parent-child | Ages: Kindergarten to Grade 3) ⟡ Explore the Urban Friend: #Nanmen Market (designed by BaF) Markets are the “warm kitchens” of the city, brimming with daily life and festive memories. This workshop guides children in understanding how traditional markets have evolved to meet modern needs, improving hygiene, organizing layouts, and enhancing user experience for a cleaner, more welcoming space.

▅▇ December 1 (Sun) | The Nature-Embracing Library ▇▅

(Children | Ages: Grade 3 to Grade 6) ⟡ Explore the Urban Friend: #Beitou Library (designed by BaF) How do large public buildings like libraries coexist with nature? This session helps children explore how architecture responds to its environment, integrating ecological elements into library design, such as rainwater harvesting, to create sustainable and comfortable reading spaces.

These courses not only teach the intricacies of spatial design but also carry the power of care and compassion. After deducting costs, all proceeds will go toward public benefit initiatives, including teacher training and support for underprivileged children, inspiring their confidence and motivation through space education.
